About this calculator
Independent Certified Mail cost and Forever-stamp math. Not the Postal Service.
What this page does
certifiedmailcost.com prices USPS First-Class letters and large envelopes sent with Certified Mail. You get postage, extra-service fees, and how many Forever stamps cover the total. No account. No ZIP codes. No addresses.
Not USPS
This site is not the United States Postal Service and is not affiliated with USPS. We do not sell postage, print labels, or take mail. The job is a rate reference you can check against Notice 123.
Where the dollars come from
Cents on this site come from the Notice 123 price table on Postal Explorer. New tables are checked against the published file before they go live. We do not scrape a live USPS rate API into this page.
Every total shows the rate effective date () and the last-checked date ().
Go to the counter when the date matters
Published retail rates are the starting point. A clerk and a round-dated postmark on PS Form 3800 are what you want for court, IRS, or eviction mail. During a rate change, a local window may lag the published table. Confirm the charge before you leave.
